Yaly Mevorach is a PhD candidate at Project CETI, focusing on the communication networks of sperm whales off the coast of Dominica. Concurrently, Yaly serves as a project manager for the marine unit at the Israel Nature and Parks Authority and holds the position of student representative on the council of the European Cetacean Society until June 2024. Yaly co-organized the 33rd annual conference of the European Cetacean Society, which featured 250 participants from 36 countries. Previous experience includes serving as a biological training coordinator at The Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel. Yaly's educational background includes a PhD in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography and a Master's degree from the University of Haifa, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
