Jed Meline

Prior to joining Project HOPE, Mr. Jed Meline was a career USAID Foreign Service Officer with almost 25 years of service in Washington and overseas. Most recently he served as Deputy U.S. Global Malaria Coordinator at the U.S President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) based in the Global Health Bureau. His diverse assignments in Washington also include service as the Director of Health and Humanitarian Assistance at the White House National Security Council, a Brookings Fellowship with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and a tour as staff on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Other positions include Acting Deputy Assistant Administrator in the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance and Senior Advisor to the Undersecretary of State for Democracy and Global Affairs.

Prior to PMI, Mr. Meline was the Senior Advisor to the Board Vice Chair at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. In that role he coordinated program and policy engagement, with Board Leadership, among all the major Global Fund donors, implementing countries, and NGOs.

His overseas positions with USAID included Senior Development Advisor for Libya responsible for all U.S. assistance in that country, Deputy Mission Director in Nepal, and health officer positions in the Philippines and Tanzania. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Micronesia and he currently serves on the Board of the National Peace Corps Association.
