Sorin Grama has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 1990. Sorin began their career as an Intern at Compaq Computer in 1990. Sorin then moved on to become a District Sales Manager, Field Sales Engineer, and Applications Engineer at National Instruments from 1994 to 1998. In 1998, they became the Principal at Cal-Bay Systems. In 2007, they co-founded and became the Director of Promethean Power Systems. From 2011 to 2018, they co-founded and was the Director of Greentown Labs. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Guest Faculty at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Lecturer, Entrepreneur in Residence, and hosted a radio show at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2018, they co-founded and became the CEO of Transaera, Inc.
Sorin Grama attended Liceul De Chimie Industriala, Orasul Victoria, Romania from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a High School degree in Physics & Mathematics. Sorin then attended The Ohio State University from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a BS in Electrical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude. Finally, they attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2007, where they obtained an MS in Engineering & Management.
