Dimuthu Lakmal

Dimuthu Lakmal's work experience begins in 2018 when they interned at Bank of Ceylon, where they gained experience in the loan section and developed skills in loan servicing and customer handling.

In 2021, Dimuthu worked at PromiseQ as a Developer, supporting the product development team and gaining knowledge in Firebase and full-stack development. Later, they became a Software Engineer for the same company, responsible for designing and implementing robust and scalable systems using various technologies.

Dimuthu joined Wiley Sri Lanka in 2021 as a Monitoring Engineer intern, designing and implementing monitoring solutions for system reliability and performance. Dimuthu was later promoted to Application Performance Engineer, where they set up and configured monitoring and provided solutions using NodeJS, Git, Zabbix, and other tools.

Currently, Dimuthu is employed as a Level One Seller at Fiverr, specializing in software development using technologies such as TypeScript, Python, Firebase, and JavaScript. Their strong communication skills and continuous learning mindset contribute to successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

In 2022, Dimuthu will start working as a Technical Lead at promiseQ.

Dimuthu Lakmal started their education in 2015 at Anuradhapura Central College, where they pursued their Advanced Levels in Mathematics until 2017. After completing their high school education, Dimuthu enrolled at the University of Colombo School of Computing in 2019. Dimuthu pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems with a focus on Information Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Dimuthu has obtained several certifications. In October 2021, they completed a course titled "Build & Deploy AI Messenger Chatbot using IBM Watson" from Coursera. In July 2021, they participated in the "RevolUx, All Island Designathon" organized by AIESEC in the University of Colombo. Furthermore, Dimuthu acquired the "AdaGrad '21, Introduction to Machine Learning" certification from IEEE Computer Society of SLTC in June 2021.

Dimuthu has also pursued various online certifications. In June 2021, they completed the "Badge: Open Source Software Development, Linux and Git Specialization," "Linux Tools for Developers," "Linux for Developers," "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals," "Open Source Software Development Methods," "Specialization: Open Source Software Development, Linux and Git," "The Unix Workbench," and "Using Git for Distributed Development" courses from organizations such as Coursera, The Linux Foundation, and The Johns Hopkins University.

Furthermore, Dimuthu obtained certifications in different Python programming courses, including "Data Collection and Processing with Python" from the University of Michigan in May 2021, "Getting Started with Go" from UC Irvine in May 2021, and "Python 3 Programming - Specialization" from the University of Michigan - School of Information in May 2021. Dimuthu also completed courses on "Python Basics," "Python Classes and Inheritance," "Python Functions, Files, and Dictionaries," and "Python Project: pillow, tesseract, and opencv" from the University of Michigan in May 2021.

Lastly, Dimuthu earned the "CYBERHAT 1.0" certification from IEEE Computer Society of SLTC in January 2021 and completed the "Complete Javascript Course for Beginners with jQuery & AJAX" from Udemy in January 2021.
