Krishna Bala

Krishna Bala is the current Senior Vice President of Engineering at Proscia. Krishna has held this position for 1 year and 5 months. Krishna then spent 3 years and 8 months as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at SigmaCare, where they once again led the development and delivery of SaaS cloud-based Electronic Healthcare Records.

After SigmaCare, Krishna became the Chief Strategy Officer at Princeton Optronics, where they led Technical Business Development for 3D Gesture Recognition Systems. Krishna held this position for 1 year before moving on to become Executive Vice President at OCLARO, where they led the Optical Switching Business Unit. Krishna held this position for 1 year and 1 month before becoming CEO of Xtellus, which was acquired by Oclaro in 2 years and 9 months.

Prior to their industry career, Krishna was a Senior Scientist at Bell Communications Research for 6 years. Krishna then went on to found Tellium in May 2001, which went public on the Nasdaq stock exchange (TELM) 6 years later.

Krishna Bala attended Columbia University in the City of New York and obtained a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering in 1992. While at Columbia, Krishna Bala developed routing algorithms for optical networks.
