Jonathan Tepper

Managing Director at Prospect Capital

Jonathan Tepper is a Managing Director at Prospect and has worked in the finance industry since 1996. Jonathan is responsible for the fund management of Prospect’s private BDC, which includes raising capital, interfacing with investors, RIAs, and broker/dealers, documentation review, and portfolio review. Prior to joining Prospect, from 2019 to 2022, Jonathan was a Managing Director at Atalaya Capital Management where he was responsible for portfolio management of the Telos CLO business. Jonathan was a founder of the Telos CLO business in 2006, originally formed at Tricadia Capital Management, where he was responsible for credit underwriting, trading, and portfolio management. Prior to joining Tricadia, Jonathan was a Vice President at Emporia Capital Management, the CLO arm of Cohen Brothers & Company. Preceding Cohen Brothers & Company, he focused on underwriting and originating sponsored transactions at PB Capital. From 1998-2002 he was part of BNP Paribas' Merchant Banking Group where he underwrote middle market leveraged buyouts. Jonathan began his career in the Valuation Services Group at Arthur Andersen.

Jonathan received a BA from the University of Michigan and his MBA from Columbia Business School, where he graduated with Beta Gamma Sigma honors.
