Gabriel Orellana López

Gabriel Orellana López has a diverse range of work experience. Gabriel began their career as a Práctica Profesional at Ingeniería MCI Ltda in 2012. Gabriel later joined Universidad de Chile, where they held various roles including Ayudante de Investigación, Ayudante, and Profesor Auxiliar from 2012 to 2014.

In 2015, Gabriel joined SRI International as a Research Associate II, where they focused on data analysis and algorithm development for neurophysiological data using Machine Learning and Signal Processing techniques. Gabriel worked with Sleep and ERP data from rodents and NHPs until 2017.

Gabriel then joined SCIAN Lab, Universidad de Chile in 2018 as a Research Engineer. Gabriel worked there until 2018, gaining more experience in research and engineering.

In 2019, Gabriel had two work experiences. Gabriel worked as a Student Job at KU Leuven from July to September. Gabriel also joined Protera Biosciences as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer in September, where they are currently employed.

Gabriel Orellana López has a strong educational background in the field of artificial intelligence. Gabriel obtained their Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from KU Leuven in 2019. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Universidad de Chile from 2007 to 2012, earning a Licenciatura en Ingeniería Eléctrica (Bachelor in Electrical Engineering) degree. Later, they continued their education in the same field at the same university, completing an Ingeniería Civil Eléctrica (Electrical Engineering Professional Degree) from 2012 to 2014.
