Kiran Karra

Kiran Karra is a Research Scientist at Protocol Labs since October 2022, bringing extensive experience in machine learning and signal processing. Previously, Kiran worked as a Senior Machine Learning Researcher at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory from November 2018 to October 2022, followed by a role as Research Faculty at Virginia Tech from November 2013 to October 2018. Prior to that, Kiran served as a Signal Processing Engineer at Axios, Inc. and Northrop Grumman Corporation from October 2011 to September 2011 and January 2008 to September 2011, respectively. Kiran holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University.
