Providence Hall is currently seeking a High School Assistant Principal (2024-2025 School Year) to contribute to our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
Work in a K-12 public charter school system with a feeder elementary and high school.
Oversee all discipline and attendance issues at the school.
Supervise and evaluate the conduct/performance of all assigned personnel.
Provide professional development to engage staff in activities designed to support school goals and programs to improve student learning.
Coach teachers and staff through growth-evoking feedback.
Facilitate effective and positive communication between personnel, administration, and/or the general public to evaluate solutions, solve problems, and/or resolve employee relations conflicts while maintaining confidentiality and positive relationships
Oversee and supervise extracurricular and other activities and events outside regular school days and/or school hours.
Facilitate meetings as assigned.
Title IX Coordinator.
Conduct school budget management in alignment with school needs, following the LEA budget, procurement and accounting policies and procedures with integrity and ethics.
Assist in the management of the school facility (facility rentals) and grounds for an appropriate, safe, working and learning environment and manage a school budget in alignment with school needs.
Develop, maintain, and increase positive growth-minded interactions with student groups and in working with individual students, including using the school’s school-wide behavior management process.
Provide leadership development, deployment, and supervision of student activities with consideration of academic, social and ethical growth.
Analyze and interpret student achievement data to understand and implement achievement strategies then assist in leading in the implementation of effective practices to increase student achievement regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or prior academic achievement.
Implement policies, procedures and/or processes for providing direction and/or complying with mandated requirements and stay current on applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations.
Incorporate culturally competent strategies and utilize culturally responsive communication and engagement strategies with all members of the school community.
Provide sound judgement and advise to constituent community; use excellent critical thinking, decision making and organizational skills
Maintain adaptability and understanding of cultural differences and in working in a diverse environment while coping with stressful situations related to students and maintaining confidentiality.
Provide leadership and guidance on behalf of effective multilingual learner teaching practices, accelerated/extended learning programs, and special needs students, including laws and regulations of special education and 504 plans.
Keep abreast of educational trends, research, and best practices to inform decision-making.
Maintain professional workplace etiquette and represent the school in a professional manner.
Prepare written materials (e.g., budgets, curriculum, reports, directives, memos, presentations) and present to audiences as required.
Actively participate in department, grade level, campus, and LEA meetings, professional developments, and other trainings.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
