Lawrence R.

Lawrence R. has over 20 years of experience in the clinical research industry. Lawrence began their career in 1997 as a Senior CRA at GlaxoWellcome. In 1999, they joined PPD as a Senior Clinical Team Manager, where they managed all clinical operations aspects of allocated studies in South Africa, Australia, and Europe. In 2003, they moved to Criterium Inc. as the Director of Global Affairs (Clinical Operations and Project Management). In this role, Lawrence managed full clinical operations in the South African, European, Indian, and Canadian offices. Lawrence also hired staff internationally and maintained 0% personnel turnover in the South African office from 2003 to 2008. In 2011, Lawrence became the Director of Clinical Operations at Syreon, where they were responsible for the overall development, implementation, and ongoing management of multiple research studies worldwide. In 2013, they returned to Criterium Inc. as the Director, Clinical Operations & Quality Assurance. In this role, Lawrence had oversight of development, documentation, and implementation of all project management and monitoring for the company. In 2014, Lawrence became an Independent Clinical Research Consultant at Jedex Clinical Research, Inc. where they provided tactical management, administration, and leadership of clinical research projects and teams. In 2017, Lawrence joined Transition Therapeutics Corp, ULC (a subsidiary of OPKO Health Inc.) as the Senior Director, Clinical Operations. Most recently, in 2021, Lawrence became the Vice President, Clinical Operations and Sr. Director, Clinical Operations at Providence Therapeutics.

Lawrence R. completed their education history with a PhD in Business/Clinical Research from Bedford University, obtained in 2006. Prior to this, they obtained an MSc in Medicine (Pharmacology) from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2001. Lawrence also obtained a BSc (Hons) in Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology from the same university in 1997. Theireducation history began with a BSc in Psychology and Physiology from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, obtained in 1995. In addition, Lawrence R. obtained a Registered Quality Assurance Professional GCP certification from the Society of Quality Assurance in April 2016.
