Partner Ari Tran, a member of Pryor Cashman’s Real Estate Group, concentrates his practice on real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales of real property, commercial leasing and real estate financings. He also resolves real estate development, land use and zoning issues.
Ari’s clients include joint ventures, real estate investors, commercial and residential developers, and building owners involved in real estate deals in New York City as well as across the U.S. He works on a number of transactions involving the purchase and sale of commercial office/retail properties, multifamily luxury apartment buildings and residential condominium units. In addition, he helps clients defer the recognition of gains on real estate transactions through 1031 tax-deferred exchanges.
Ari’s recent experience in closing transactions includes representing a joint venture in the sale of a $170 million residential highrise on the west side of Manhattan, as well as representing a client in the sale and lease-back of a $460 million retail building in midtown Manhattan. Ari has also successfully negotiated contracts in connection with several forthcoming redevelopment projects throughout New York City.
