Nicholas Stevenson has a diverse work experience in the field of technical animation and art. Nicholas is currently working at PUBG Corporation as a Technical Art Director since January 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Principal Technical Animator at PUBG Corporation from December 2020 to March 2022.

Before joining PUBG Corporation, Nicholas worked at Raven Software for a significant portion of their career. Nicholas served as the Lead Technical Animator from September 2015 to December 2020, leading a team of three animators and providing support to the Animation and Motion Capture team with tools, rigs, and pipeline solutions. Nicholas also presented a proposal for tools sharing effort at a company summit, which was successfully adopted across multiple studios.

Prior to their role as Lead Technical Animator, Nicholas worked as a Senior Technical Animator at Raven Software from October 2010 to September 2015. Nicholas focused on rigging and skinning game assets, authored plugins and tools, and implemented in-game dynamics, ragdolls, blendshapes, and procedural animation flourishes.

Nicholas started their career at Raven Software as an Animator and Technical Animator from January 2006 to October 2010. During this time, they worked on animation, implementation, and polish of game animations for projects like Wolfenstein and Singularity. Nicholas also rigged and implemented various weapons, props, and vehicles and animated first-person weapons in Wolfenstein.

Before joining Raven Software, Nicholas gained experience as a Junior Animator at Raven Software from October 2004 to December 2006. Their responsibilities included capturing, solving, and cleaning motion capture performances, setting up the mocap camera system and software, and delivering motion capture performances to various software applications.

Nicholas also worked at Snowgum Films as an Animator and Technical Animator from July 2014 to May 2017. Their work involved character rigging and skinning for the team of animators, facial rigging and deformation setup using Modo, and animation of CG characters blended with live-action sequences.

In addition to their professional experience, Nicholas also worked as a Lab Monitor at Madison Area Technical College from August 2004 to June 2005.

Nicholas Stevenson attended Madison Area Technical College from 2003 to 2005. During their time at the college, they pursued a degree in Animation. Their coursework focused on various aspects of animation, including modeling, animation techniques, texturing, concepting, and illustration.
