Sharad Jain

Sharad Jain is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in storage solutions and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Pure Storage since December 2017, Sharad focuses on FlashBlade technology. Prior to this role, Sharad was an Engineering Manager at NetApp, leading the AltaVault file systems team and contributing to the cloud-integrated deduplication storage system which protects over 200 petabytes. Sharad also served as a Team Lead at Riverbed Technology, where the SteelStore product was acquired by NetApp, and played a critical role in designing a distributed file system. Additional experience includes a position as a Senior Software Engineer at Symantec, where Sharad developed the Norton product’s install framework, and a Programmer role at UCLA Health, creating a Java tool for radiation exposure analysis. Sharad's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Computer Science from UCLA and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.
