Nolan Reis has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering and product management fields since 2007. In 2007, they began their career as an Engineering Intern at Reactrix Systems, Inc. Nolan then worked as an Engineering Intern at Acorn Product Development in 2008. In 2009, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Cool Earth Solar and a PV Designer at SolarCity. In 2010, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Molecular Devices, where they worked on large-scale, robotic medical instrumentation station used for high-throughput drug discovery. Nolan then worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Tesla Motors from 2011 to 2016. Most recently, they have been a Product Manager at Ford Motor Company since 2016 and at Pure Watercraft since 2021.

Nolan Reis has an extensive education history. Nolan first attended Palo Alto High School from 2000 to 2004. Nolan then attended Colby College from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Physics. Following this, they attended Dartmouth College from 2006 to 2009, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2014, they earned a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis. In 2015, they attended Singularity University, though no degree or field of study was obtained. In 2019, they obtained a Product Management certification from General Assembly. Nolan also obtained a SolidWorks Associate certification from Dassault Systèmes.
