David Payne has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development. David joined PVM, Inc. in 2018, where they started as a Software Engineer II and later advanced to the role of Software Engineer III. At PVM, Inc., they are currently involved in software engineering projects.

Before joining PVM, Inc., David worked at IST Research from 2015 to 2018 as a Software Engineer. During their time at IST Research, they played a significant role in developing breakthrough technologies that revolutionized how people interact with each other and information globally. David worked on several mobile and backend projects, applications, and systems.

In 2014, David held the position of Android Developer & Contractor at both Rackspace, the #1 managed cloud company, and Silvercar. At Rackspace, they worked on delivering the best-fit IT infrastructure for customers, leveraging various platforms. As an Android Developer & Contractor at Silvercar, David worked remotely on the development of an Android-based mobile app, collaborating with other team members.

Additionally, David worked as an Android Developer at Fitnet in 2014. Fitnet is a comprehensive health and fitness mobile solution that offers real-time feedback during video exercise sessions. David contributed to the development of Fitnet using biometric webcam sensors and human trainers.

David's journey in software development began in 2013 when they worked as an Android Developer at Atomic Axis, primarily focusing on the Texas Department of Public Safety app.

In 2011, David co-founded MoGo Mobile, Inc., which was Radford University's first commercial startup. David designed and coded augmented reality apps for iOS and Android in Objective-C and Java, respectively. Additionally, they built a web application augmented reality editor using PHP, JavaScript, and CSS.

Furthermore, David co-founded FreshAiR as part of MoGo Mobile, Inc., where FreshAiR was their flagship product.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, David served as a Team Lead Programmer at GAMeS Lab @ RU from 2009 to 2010.

Finally, David gained professional experience as an Army Civilian Student Intern Programmer at the United States Department of Defense from 2008 to 2010.

Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, they studied IT Game Design & Programming at New River Community College.

David's academic journey began at Virginia Tech, where they studied Computer Science from 2000 to 2005.

Before their higher education, David completed their high school education at Killeen High School, where they attended from 1996 to 2000. However, it is unknown whether they obtained a degree or specified a field of study during this time.
