Thomas Berryman has over 40 years of work experience in a variety of roles. Thomas began their career in 1978 as an Audit Manager at PwC (Coopers & Lybrand). In 1985, they became the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at VLI Corporation, a publicly held consumer medical products company. In 1988, they were the CFO at Advanced Surgical Intervention, a venture capital funded medical device company. In 1993, they were the Chief Financial Officer at MicroTherapeutics, Inc., a venture funded start-up focused on interventional therapies for neuro and peripheral vascular disease. In 1997, they founded and became the CEO of Genyx Medical, Inc. In 2005, they were the President & CEO of WaveTec Vision, a company that developed ORA\u00ae, a pioneering technology for ophthalmologists. Thomas was also a Board Member at Glumetrics, Inc., a venture-funded startup developing a novel measurement technology for continuous glucose monitoring. In 2012, they became an Advisor at Invoy. In 2015, they founded Privy and served as the Founder until 2021. Thomas is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Q'Apel Medical, Inc.

Thomas Berryman holds an MBA from the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business and a BS in Accounting from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona. Thomas also holds an inactive CPA from the State of California.
