Amna Al-Khalaf has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Amna started their career as a Member of the Graduate Committee at Northwestern University in Qatar in 2012. From there, they worked as a Talent Acquisition and Placement Specialist at Teach For Qatar from 2014 to 2016. Amna then joined Unions Gallery as an Assistant Curator from 2016 to 2017. Amna then transitioned to Edinburgh-Glasgow, where they independently conceptualized, organized, and produced three successful exhibitions as a Curator from 2017 to 2020. Amna later joined Qatar Museums as an Exhibition Coordinator in December 2020, responsible for creating and coordinating temporary exhibitions at the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum. Additionally, they are currently working as a Community Outreach Specialist at Qatar Museums, where they have been involved in various community outreach initiatives since July 2022.
Amna Al-Khalaf completed their Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Northwestern University in Qatar, spanning from 2009 to 2013. Amna then pursued a Master's degree in the History of Art, Theory and Display from The University of Edinburgh from 2016 to 2017. Following that, Amna obtained another Master's degree in Curatorial Practice from the University of Glasgow from 2018 to 2019. In addition to their educational qualifications, they are currently associated with The Glasgow School of Art, where they are pursuing a Master's degree in Curatorial Practice, specifically focusing on Contemporary Art.
