Nicola Alzakhem

Nicola Alzakhem is an experienced professional in the field of project management and product development, currently serving as Associate Director of Ops Project Management and previously as Senior Product Manager at QIAGEN since September 2016. Responsibilities include overseeing PCR assays, oligonucleotides, pilot plant operations, and project management. Prior experience includes a role as Scientist in Operations, focusing on the development and optimization of synthetic routes and HPLC purification methods for modified nucleotides in compliance with GMP regulations, as well as managing method and process transfers to production. Nicola held a postdoctoral position at UC Berkeley from August 2014 to April 2016, specializing in supramolecular catalysis. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Coordination Chemistry from Ruhr University Bochum, awarded in 2013.
