Harutyun Baghdasaryan

Harutyun Baghdasaryan has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies.

Harutyun started their career at Lycos Europe as a Software Engineer, where they worked in the Armenia subsidiary and gained experience in Java development.

Moving on, Harutyun joined 101 Worldwide as a Software Engineer, where they handled multiple projects and collaborated with product managers from Poland and Germany.

Harutyun then worked at Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics, and Informatics (MESI) as a Lecturer, teaching courses on web technologies and serverless architecture to graduate students.

After that, Harutyun joined Armenian Datacom Company (ADC) and held various roles. As a Senior Software Developer, they were responsible for Java service design, CRM system design, and PHP development. Harutyun also served as the Head of the Software Team, managing the creation of a modern CRM tool for centralized fiber optic solutions maintenance.

Harutyun then joined Workfront, where they had a progressive career growth. Starting as a Java Software Developer, they worked in an Agile environment, estimating work, creating designs, and implementing features using Java and various technologies. Harutyun was later promoted to Software Development Manager, where they focused on team management, Agile implementation, and architectural design. Finally, they became a Senior Engineering Manager, overseeing Software and Quality Engineers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software to Workfront's Work Automation Cloud platform.

Most recently, Harutyun joined DISQO as the Director of Engineering. In this role, they are responsible for creating a consumer-first insights platform and managing front-end, back-end, data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists.

Their current position is as the Vice President of Software Engineering at QLess, Inc. As Vice President, they lead the global engineering organization, aligns software engineering priorities with business goals, and develops and executes a technology strategic plan.

Harutyun Baghdasaryan has a comprehensive education history. Harutyun obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Information Technology Management from Yerevan State University from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science at the State Engineering University of Armenia from 2000 to 2004. Before entering higher education, they attended the College of SEUA from 1998 to 2000. Harutyun Baghdasaryan's education journey started at Middle school #1 after Stepan Shahumyan in Yerevan, Armenia, where they completed their middle school education from 1990 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Harutyun has acquired various certifications to expand their knowledge and skills. These include certifications such as Amazon Web Services Developer - Associate from Udemy in March 2022, Cloud Architecture: Advanced Concepts from LinkedIn in September 2021, and Learning Jira Software 7.5-7.9 from LinkedIn in May 2020. Harutyun has also obtained certifications in subjects such as SonarQube SonarCloud - Continuous Inspection and Code Review, Tableau for Beginners, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. Furthermore, they have pursued certifications in data engineering and big data concepts, as well as a certification in public speaking. Additionally, Harutyun obtained the Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer certification in November 2012.
