Jonas Dawson

Jonas Dawson has over 10 years of experience in software engineering, compliance content development, and music direction. In 2020, they began their current role as Director of Compliance Content Development at Qmulos, where they are also a Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they have built a Splunk app to facilitate more rapid deployment of useful dashboards, panels and alerts for security compliance, and has led content development efforts to enable the company's products to demonstrate compliance to control objectives from NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 4 and Rev. 5. From 2016-2019, they were Director of Music at Grace United Church of Christ, Senior Director of Technology at RocketDocs, and a Software Engineering Consultant for Freelance. From 2015-2016, they were a Technical Director and Senior Software Engineer at NextLOGiK, and a Software Engineering Consultant for Freelance. From 2010-2015, they were a Consultant, Advanced Technology Group, Senior Consultant, and Consultant at Information Strategies, Inc. From 2007-2010, they were a Software Developer at Trade Inflo.

Jonas Dawson has a diverse educational background. Jonas completed an AAS in Software Development from Hagerstown Community College between 2002 and 2006, as well as an AA in Psychology from the same institution. Jonas then received a BA in Music Performance - Piano from Shepherd University between 2004 and 2010. Jonas subsequently earned a BS in Computer and Information Science from University of Maryland University College between 2006 and 2008, followed by an MS in Software Engineering from the same institution between 2008 and 2010. In October 2020, they obtained five certifications from Qmulos, including Accredited Qmulos Products Delivery, Certified Q-Audit Deployment, Certified Q-Audit End User, Certified Q-Compliance Deployment, and Certified Q-Compliance End User.
