Boro Šofranac

Head Of Development: Quantum Applications at Quantagonia

Boro Šofranac has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Starting in 2016, Boro worked as a Honours Project member at ZEISS Microscopy, where they were part of a team of 7 people and focused on developing software for real-time, distributed processing using Apache Storm. In 2016, Boro also worked as a Working Student at SimScale GmbH. In 2017, they became a Student Research Assistant at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. From 2018 to 2019, Boro worked as a Software Developer at SimScale GmbH. In 2019, they joined the Zuse Institute Berlin as a Research Scientist and worked there until 2021. Currently, Boro is the Head of Development: Quantum Applications at Quantagonia.

Boro Šofranac started their education in 2012 at the University of Montenegro, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering. Boro completed this program in 2015. Subsequently, they enrolled at the Technical University of Munich and studied there from 2015 to 2018. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computational Science and Engineering. Since 2020, Boro Šofranac has been actively engaged in their education as a PhD candidate at the Technische Universität Berlin, concentrating on Computer Science.
