Tiago Novais Barbosa

Tiago Novais Barbosa's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Tiago is currently the Engineering Director at Quantal S.A. Since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Sunviauto as a Project Manager in the Automotive division from 2018 to 2022. At MWTECHNOLOGIES, they served as a Technical Consultant from 2013 to 2022. Tiago also worked as a Technical Manager at ASSYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES from 2016 to 2018. In addition, they held the position of Senior Project Manager at Kirchhoff Automotive Portugal from 2014 to 2016. Tiago co-founded Scootzz, Lda and served as the CEO and CTO from 2011 to 2013. Tiago'searly experiences include being the Director of Manufacturing at Multiwave Photonics from 2008 to 2012 and a Development Engineer from 2006 to 2008. Tiago also worked as a Product Manager at Inapal Plásticos from 2007 to 2008 and held various roles at IETA from 2000 to 2006, including Engineering Manager and Product/Process Engineer. Prior to these roles, they worked as a Project Engineer at Ferreira Lemos Engenharia from 1998 to 2000.

Tiago Novais Barbosa's education history begins in 1990 when they enrolled at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto and completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1997. Following this, they pursued further education and attended Porto Business School in 2011-2012, participating in the Business Ignition Programme. Additionally, from 2010 to 2012, Tiago attended Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto for a Master's course in Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship.

In terms of additional certifications, Tiago obtained Certified Trainer (CCP) accreditation from IEFP in August 2019 and achieved PSB (Product Safety Representative) certification following Volkswagen Group guidelines from Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) e.V. in January 2016.
