Thomas Oliver

Thomas Oliver has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2002, they completed a summer internship at Linedata. Thomas then worked as a summer intern at JPMorgan Chase in 2003. In 2004, they joined Credit Suisse for another summer internship and later joined Schroders as a Sovereign Credit Analyst until 2009. In 2010, they worked at Abaci Investment Management as a Quantitative Investment Researcher.

From 2011 to 2013, Thomas worked at RBS Markets & International Banking, first as a Quantitative Analyst in Market Risk Methodology, and then as a Traded Market and Counterparty Risk Quant. Thomas joined JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2013 and held positions as Vice President in the Model Review Group and Executive Director in the Model Review Group's VaR group.

In 2017, Thomas founded their own startup called InferStat Ltd, where they served as CEO, leading the development of a free web-based backtesting and optimization trading tool. Thomas utilized technologies such as React-Redux, Flask, Python, and AWS EC2/Lambda.

In 2022, Thomas joined AssetTribe as the Chief Technology Officer, overseeing a JS-based platform on AWS that helps investors diversify their portfolio with alternative assets. Thomas is currently working as the Head of Model Validation at Quantifi, Inc.

Thomas Oliver completed their education in a chronological order. From 1992 to 2000, they attended City of London School, where they did not receive a specific degree or field of study. Following this, from 2000 to 2004, they pursued a Natural Sciences degree (MSci) at the University of Cambridge. Finally, from 2008 to 2010, Thomas obtained an MSc in Mathematical Finance from the University of Oxford.
