Steve Sugiyama

Steve Sugiyama is a seasoned security systems test engineer currently employed at Axient since February 2022, supporting the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Sentinel program. Previously, Steve served as a physical security systems program manager at BAE Systems, overseeing GBSD systems, and as chief of the Joint Mission Assurance Assessment Branch at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, leading a team in conducting assessments for strategic assets. Steve's military career includes significant leadership roles in the United States Air Force, such as commander of the 341st Missile Security Squadron and deputy commandant at the USAF Expeditionary Ops School. With academic credentials that include master's degrees in Strategic Studies and Military Operational Art and Science, as well as a Bachelor's in Philosophy, Steve Sugiyama possesses a strong foundation in strategic and operational frameworks.
