Andras Lukacs

Andras Lukacs has worked in the engineering and software development industry since 2004. Theirmost recent role was Director of Engineering at Quantum Surgical SAS from 2018-2020, where they helped the team deliver USA 510k certification and grew the Engineering team up to 60 members. Theirresponsibilities included organizing, managing and leading the Engineering team, supervising System, HW, SW and Research teams' leaders, providing technical vision in advance to the product pipeline, and bringing new products to market. Andras was also responsible for on time delivery and compliance of new products or product changes. Prior to this, they were the System & IT Healthcare Director at Fresenius Kabi from 2017-2018. At GE Healthcare from 2004-2017, they held various roles, including Senior Software Manager - SW Development, Group Leader - software automated & reliability tests, Team Leader - software automated tests, Project Leader - system software reliability, and System Engineer - Image Quality. Theiraccomplishments included helping the team to deliver on time CE Mark submission, successfully building SW DHF to acquire CE Marks, successful TÜV audits to get ISO 13485:2016 certification, and more.

Andras Lukacs received their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biophysics from the Eötvös Loránd University in 2000. Andras then went on to earn a MSc in Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest between 1998 and 2003. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biophysics from the Eötvös Loránd University in 2012.
