Queens Community House
Ching Tan currently serves as the Patient Services Manager at Northwell Health since May 2024 and has been an Education Volunteer at Queens Community House since June 2017, where responsibilities include creating and facilitating food and nutrition workshops for young adults. Previously, Ching was the Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital from December 2022 to May 2024, focusing on menu development and service quality assessment. Ching's extensive experience at Starbucks spanned nearly a decade, with roles ranging from Barista to Store Manager, demonstrating leadership in store operations. Additional experience includes volunteering at New York Hospital Queens and tutoring at Beijing Chinese School. Ching holds a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics/Dietitian from Queens College and graduated from Bayside High School with a focus on Vocal studies.

QCH serves more than 25,000 children, youth, adults, and older adults every year. Our mission is to provide individuals and families with the tools to enrich their lives and build healthy, inclusive communities. Through a broad network of programs operating out of 40 sites in 15 neighborhoods, we offer Queens residents a needed support system at every stage of life, helping them to develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills to change their lives for the better and become active participants in their larger community.
