Liz Simpson

Liz Simpson is a highly skilled Senior Strategic Planner Future Development at Queenstown Lakes District Council, with extensive experience in urban planning and resource management. Since April 2013, Liz has led significant projects such as the Spatial Plan Gen 2.0 and the Te Pūtahi – Ladies Mile masterplan. Liz has been instrumental in the implementation of national policies and has played a key role in community engagement, preparing accessible reports, and contributing to the Proposed District Plan. Liz's prior experience includes leadership roles in technical support and subdivision processing at Lakes Environmental LTD, as well as work in logistics at Reebok UK and Mattel, Inc. Liz holds a Master’s degree in Resource Environmental Planning from Massey University and a BA in Business with Environmental Management from the University of Huddersfield, along with active memberships in relevant professional associations.
