Zhi Liang

Zhi Liang is a Senior Materials Engineer at QuesTek Innovations LLC since May 2021, specializing in alloy system design through the ICME-CALPHAD approach. Previously, Zhi served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology from September 2018 to May 2021, focusing on ICME/CALPHAD-based additive manufacturing alloy development and creating thermodynamic databases for titanium systems. Zhi earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from The Ohio State University from 2013 to 2018, where research concentrated on developing low-cost titanium alloys, and also holds a Bachelor's degree in Material Science & Engineering from both the University of Kentucky and China University of Mining and Technology.
