Chen Wu

Director Of Cell Engineering at Quintarabio

Chen Wu has a diverse work experience spanning several years. In 2002, Wu worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the City of Hope Graduate School of Biological Sciences, where they conducted research on neural stem cell maintenance and identified a novel mechanism of regulation. From 2008 to 2013, Wu served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute/Children's Hospital Boston, investigating the function of beta-3-tubulin and exploring orbit morphology. Wu then became a Staff Scientist and Lab Manager at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center from 2013 to 2020. During this time, they were involved in various research activities. Wu subsequently served as Co-Director of the Transgenic Core Facility at the Boston Area Diabetes Endocrinology Research Center and Boston Nutrition from 2014 to 2020, overseeing its operations. In 2020, Wu joined Takeda as a Scientist, focusing on CMC/Product and platform development. They held this position until 2021. Wu then became a Principal at AB Magnitude Ventures Group, where they worked until mid-2022. Currently, Wu is the Director of Cell Engineering at Quintara Biosciences, a role they started in September 2022.

Chen Wu completed a PhD in Developmental Neurobiology from the Irell & Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences, starting in 2002 and finishing in 2008. Prior to this, Wu obtained a B.S. in Biology from the University of Science and Technology of China between 1997 and 2002. Wu also attended Nanjing Foreign Language School from 1991 to 1997, where they completed high school with a focus on French.
