Jihye Baek

Jihye Baek has extensive work experience in the scientific field. Jihye began their career as a Researcher for the Korea Institute of Science and Technology in 2010. In 2015, they joined Scripps Research as a Professional Scientific Collaborator and Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2017, they began working as a Research Scientist III for Scripps Health, where they designed tunable materials with different conjugation chemistry, contributed to the development of engineered tissues, and designed engineered architectures to mimic the native extracellular matrix. In 2019, they became a Senior R&D Scientist at Roswell Biotechnologies. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Qureator as a Senior Scientist.

Jihye Baek obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomaterial, Bioengineering, and Biomedical Engineering from UC San Diego between 2011 and 2015.
