Charles Meier

Charles Meier has over 40 years of work experience. In 1977, they served as a Staff Sergeant (SSG/E6) for the US Army. From 1995 to 1998, they worked as a Sr Systems Analyst for OCLC. From 1998 to 2001, they were a Sr Software Architect for Concentus Technology Corp. From 2001 to 2004, they were the Co-Founder and CTO of PeerPro, L.L.C. From 2004 to 2006, they were a Sr IT Consultant for Chemical Abstracts Service. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Sr IT Consultant for UNICON International. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Sr Consultant for Quick Solutions. From 2010 to 2013, they were a Sr Consultant for Citi. Charles is currently a Sr Consultant for R.DORSEY+COMPANY, where they are working on a system for the US Department of Defense for handling evidence collected for criminal investigations by Army CID, Air Force OSI, and Navy NCIS. Charles has also modified the air pollution permit system in conjunction with Unicon, Intl for the states of Wyoming and Arizona to handle local state EPA requirements, and built an administrative system that allowed customers of LexisNexis to manage their user logins and access to LexisNexis products.

Charles Meier began their educational journey in 1977 when they earned their B.A. in Economics and Latin American Studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Charles then returned to the same university in 1984 and obtained an MSc in Agricultural Economics. In 1986, they began their Ph.D. Candidate studies at The Ohio State University in Natural Resources and Environmental Economics, which they completed in 1991.
