Jeffrey (Jeff) Metcalf

Jeffrey (Jeff) Metcalf has a diverse work experience. Jeffrey (Jeff) started their career in 2012 as a Biological Science Technician (Wildlife) at the U.S. Forest Service and later worked in a similar role at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 2014. In 2015, they joined Stantec as a Natural Resources Scientist, where they focused on restoration and monitoring projects. In 2018, they transitioned to Anoka County Parks as a Natural Resource Technician, where they worked until 2020. During this time, they also served as a Volunteer Firefighter at Hull Fire Dept. In 2020, Jeff became a Small Business Owner at Native Envi Environmental Solutions. Currently, Jeff holds the position of Commercial Sales Arborist at Rainbow Treecare, Lawncare, Pest Experts, starting in 2021. Jeffrey (Jeff) also has experience serving in the United States Air Force as a Logistics Readiness Officer since 2017. Overall, Jeff has gained expertise in various areas including wildlife management, restoration, monitoring, and sales.

Jeffrey (Jeff) Metcalf obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology with a focus on Wildlife Ecology: Research and Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Jeffrey (Jeff) studied at the university from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their degree, Jeff also holds several certifications. Jeffrey (Jeff) obtained a Commercial Drivers License (Class A) from the Minnesota Department of Safety in 2016. Jeffrey (Jeff) completed the Motorboat Operator Certification Course (MOCC) offered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) in 2013. In 2012, they obtained certifications in ICS-100 and ICS-700 from FEMA. Jeff also obtained certifications in L-180, S-190, S-131, and S-133 from the National Wildfire Coordinating Group in 2012. Lastly, in 2015, they received a Commercial Pesticide Applicator certification in Core, Turf and Ornamental, and Aquatic categories from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
