Carl Werner has a diverse work experience in the field of technical research and consulting. Carl started their career at Siliconix as a Sr. Design Engineer from 1984 to 1988, then moved to National Semiconductor as a Sr. Design Engineer from 1988 to 1997. Carl continued their career at Invox as an Engineering Manager from 1997 to 1999, specializing in analog and periphery circuit design. Carl then joined Rambus, where they held various roles including Sr. Member of Technical Staff from 1999 to 2006, Sr. Manager in the Core Technology Group from 2006 to 2010, Senior Manager in the New Business Group from 2010 to 2012, Intellectual Property Strategy Director from 2012 to 2016, and currently serves as the Technical Director for Rambus Labs, leading a team responsible for SI, PI, and circuit design. Carl'swork at Rambus also involved leading a feasibility study for the Microsoft Quantum Compute Initiative and overseeing the maintenance and monetization of the company's patent portfolio. Throughout their career, Carl has achieved multiple peer-reviewed publications and patents.
Carl Werner holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Carl also attained an MSEE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from San Jose State University. In 2012, they attended Practising Law Institute in San Francisco, where they studied an unspecified field.
