Gina Banfield

Gina Banfield is an experienced health information management professional with a robust background in leading and managing health informatics functions across various healthcare organizations. Currently serving as the National Health Information Manager at Ramsay Health Care since October 2019, Gina develops and oversees strategic initiatives for Health Information Management (HIM) and Clinical Coding at the regional level. Previous roles include Manager of Health Information Services at Greenslopes Private Hospital, where Gina ensured compliance with healthcare data legislation, and Deputy Manager of Health Informatics at Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, providing leadership to health informatics teams. Gina's solid foundation in health administration was established with a Bachelor of Business in Health Administration from Queensland University of Technology, supplemented by a Graduate Certificate and a Master’s degree in E-Health and Health Informatics from the University of Tasmania.
