Chief Scientist at Rapid Dose

Ben Macphail's work experience includes:

- Chief Scientist at Rapid Dose Therapeutics (RDT) since 2018. In this role, they lead the research, development, and commercialization of novel delivery technologies in collaboration with other RDT scientists and engineers as well as partnered research institutions. Ben works closely with the branding and marketing department to strategically develop products for commercialization.

- Research Associate at McMaster University from 2015 to 2018. Ben developed technology to produce oral thin films incorporating various active ingredients for sublingual delivery and transferred the technology to an industry partner for commercialization. Ben also worked as a Graduate Student from 2015 to 2017.

- Researcher at the Inorganic Materials Laboratory at Trent University from 2014 to 2015.

- Undergraduate Student Researcher at the Trent Centre for Biomaterials Research from 2013 to 2014.

- Laboratory Technician at Natural Resources Canada in 2012.

Ben Macphail has a strong educational background in the field of science and chemistry. Ben obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Trent University from 2010 to 2014. Following this, Ben pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Polymer Chemistry from McMaster University, which they completed between 2015 and 2017. Additionally, in 2017, they completed a Mini-MBA Program offered by the McMaster University Chapter of the Graduate Management Consulting Association, receiving a Certificate of Completion.

In terms of additional certifications, Ben Macphail acquired a certification in Project Management Foundations from LinkedIn in August 2023.
