Shawn Olsen

Shawn Olsen has extensive work experience in the scientific and biotech industry. Shawn is currently the Director of Global Strategic Accounts at Rapid Micro Biosystems, where they have been working since 2020. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Account Executive at the same company.

Before joining Rapid Micro Biosystems, Olsen worked at Molecular Devices from 2015 to 2020. During their time there, they held the positions of Senior Bioresearch Technical Sales Representative and BioResearch Technical Sales Representative.

From 2014 to 2015, Olsen worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Field Sales Representative. In this role, they managed scientific accounts in the Winston-Salem area and successfully drove revenue growth by leveraging their product knowledge and key relationships.

Olsen's earlier experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Clemson University from 2012 to 2013 and as a Graduate Research Assistant from 2007 to 2012.

Shawn Olsen began their education at Clemson University in 2003, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biosystems Engineering. Shawn successfully completed their undergraduate program in 2007. Building upon their undergraduate studies, Shawn continued their education at Clemson University and enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy program in Bioengineering. Shawn dedicated their efforts to this program from 2007 to 2012, ultimately earning their prestigious PhD degree.
