Janell Rothenberg

Janell Rothenberg, PhD, serves as a Senior Customer Researcher at Rapid7, following a role as Lead Researcher at Atlassian. Previously, Janell held positions as a Senior User Experience Researcher at Convoy Inc and Redfin, where impactful UX research strategies and insights were developed. Janell's experience includes user experience research at Microsoft and Intel Corporation, with a focus on generative research and usability studies for technology products. Academic roles include Visiting Assistant Professor at Carleton College and research instruction at the Elliott School of International Affairs and UCLA, where Janell contributed significantly to qualitative research and teaching in anthropology. Janell holds a PhD in Anthropology from UCLA and additional degrees from California State University, Long Beach, New York University, and Hampshire College.
