Mike Rinehart

Mike Rinehart has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Mike started their career as a Global Information Services Intern at Caterpillar Inc. in 2013. In 2014, they interned at Discover Financial Services, focusing on SAN Operations. Later that year, they joined Illinois State University as a Web Application Developer, where they worked until 2015. At State Farm, Mike served as an iOS Developer from 2015 to 2017, contributing to the development of the flagship mobile app and organizing security challenges. In 2016, they joined Komand (later acquired by Rapid7) as a Security Integration Engineer, developing plugins and assisting with documentation. Currently, Mike works at Rapid7 as a Senior Software Engineer, with a specific focus on InsightConnect - Orchestration & Automation R&D. Mike also serves as a Scrum Master and collaborates on product integrations.

Mike Rinehart completed their education at Illinois State University from 2011 to 2015. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science and Technology degree with a specialization in Information Technology - Network and Telecommunications Management. Additionally, Mike obtained several certifications, including Ham Radio Technician from W5YI-VEC in March 2022, Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in July 2018, and USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach from USA Weightlifting in February 2017.
