Annie Evans

Design Researcher at RapidAI

Annie Evans has a diverse range of work experience. Annie is currently working as a Design Researcher at RapidAI since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance UX Researcher starting from January 2020.

From June 2017 to September 2019, Annie worked at the Public Library of Science as a Publishing Editor. In this role, they facilitated peer review for the journal PLOS ONE and improved the submission, editing, and publication process for contributors. Annie was also the team lead for human and animal research ethics, clinical trials, and copyright.

From September 2016 to June 2017, Annie served as a Research Assistant at the Cognitive Modeling Laboratory at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Annie conducted research on cognitive processes, including learning, memory, and task performance.

Annie's work experience also includes being a Lead Teacher at Newton Center Inc. from August 2012 to June 2015. In this role, they managed a classroom in an elementary after-school care program and provided academic support and tutoring to students. Annie also communicated with parents, teachers, and students to facilitate academic success.

Annie Evans pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting in 2015 and ending in 2020. From 2015 to 2017, they attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a major in Cognitive Science. Later, in 2019, Annie enrolled at General Assembly, where they completed the User Experience Design Immersive program in 2020.
