Alex Walling

Alex Walling is the current Head of Sales Engineering at RapidAPI. Prior to this, they were the CEO & Founder of Glimpse App from October 2016 to June 2017. Before that, they were a Major League Hacking Coach from June 2016 to September 2020.

As a Major League Hacking Coach, Alex traveled to collegiate hackathon events during the weekend to partner with student organizers of the event and facilitate a smooth run of show from start to finish. During the hackathons, Alex would work on a variety of things such as help student participants debug their code, work with organizers to improve how the event is running, run sponsored mini-events on behalf of MLH and their sponsors, promote MLH and their sponsors to students at the event, and more.

In October 2016, Alex became the CEO & Founder of Glimpse App. Glimpse App is a social media platform that allows users to see what their friends are doing and where they are. The app was designed to help people connect with their friends in a more efficient way.

In June 2017, Alex left Glimpse App to join RapidAPI as the Head of Sales Engineering. RapidAPI is the world’s largest API marketplace with over 10,000 APIs. RapidAPI allows developers to find, test, and connect to APIs with just a few clicks.

Alex Walling is a student at the University of Colorado Boulder, studying computer science. They are interested in working in the computer science field after graduation.

They work with Žymantas Paulas - Mac OS Developer, Sam Sinyavski - Technical Support Engineer, and Seth Hardiman - Senior IT Manager. Alex Walling reports to Andrey Bukati, CTO. Some direct reports include Jamie Burg - Sales Engineer, Jeff Ding - Sales Engineer, and Gabe Ortiz - Senior Sales Engineer.
