Kara Nunnally

Kara Nunnally has a long and varied work experience. Kara began their career in 2014 as the Public Relations Director for the Beaufort Kara'storical Association. That same year, they were also the Assistant Tennis Coach for Bridgewater College. In 2018, they took on two roles at Adwerx, Account Manager and Corporate Office Trainer. In 2020, they were a Policy Advocacy Fellow for Environment North Carolina, and a Program Assistant for the Associate Dean of Professional Programs at Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment. In 2021, they worked as a Program Associate and Coastal Policy and Restoration Intern for the North Carolina Coastal Federation, and a NAAEE Library Associate at Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment. Kara is currently working as a Senior Sales Associate at Raptor Maps - Solar Software and a Coastal Leadership Institute Coordinator at the North Carolina Coastal Federation.

Kara Nunnally obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Kara'story from James Madison University between 2010 and 2013. Kara then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Elon University between 2016 and 2019. In 2020, they began their Master of Environmental Management in Coastal Environmental Management at Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment and is expected to complete the program in 2022. In addition to their degrees, Nunnally has obtained certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration, LinkedIn, and Elon University. These include The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) from the Federal Aviation Administration (2022), WordPress 5 Essential Training from LinkedIn (2021), Intercultural Consciousness Certificate from Elon University (2018), and LGBTQIA Ally: Official Trained Ally from Elon University (2017).
