Alexander Kele Kovacs has a diverse work experience in the life sciences industry. Alexander currently holds the position of Director of Business Development at Rarity Bioscience, where their responsibilities include developing business and market strategies, marketing and communication tactics, and closing key customers and partnerships. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Marketing and Head of Business Area Products at Vironova AB, where they led a cross-functional team and focused on organizational development, process improvement, and commercial readiness. Alexander also worked at Cytiva and GE Healthcare, where they held various roles such as Senior Product Manager, Market Development Leader, and Global Marketing Manager. At Attana AB, a life science start-up, they served as the Global Product and Marketing Manager and contributed to the company's growth and product launches. Alexander started their career as a Scientist at Karolinska Institutet and later worked as a Research Assistant at Karolinska Institutet's Anthony Brookes DASH technology project.
Alexander Kele Kovacs obtained a Crotonville Leadership Curriculum degree in Organizational Leadership from Crotonville Alumni, from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine - Molecular Medicine from Karolinska Institutet, from 2005 to 2007. Alexander also holds a Licentiate in Cardiovascular Medicine - Molecular Genetics from Karolinska Institutet, from 2002 to 2004, and a Master's Thesis in Molecular Genetics from the University of Oxford, from 2001 to 2002. In addition, they have an MSc in Biomedicine from Karolinska Institutet, from 1998 to 2001.
