Ian Evans

Ian Evans is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and application development. Currently, Ian is part of the Cloud Platform Team at Raven Industries, starting in July 2023. Prior to this role, Ian worked at Ridgeline from May 2020 to July 2023, focusing on defining and delivering core AWS cloud infrastructure for a fintech startup led by Dave Duffield. Ian's background includes positions at Mothership PaaS, where contributions were made to an open-source Platform as a Service, and self-employed work developing various open-source software applications using modern technologies. Earlier experience includes a role as a full-stack developer at o2 Group, where significant optimizations and enhancements were made to large applications. Ian holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Arizona and a BA in Philosophy from Lewis & Clark College, complemented by education from Launch School in software development.
