Erik Engwall

Erik Engwall has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Erik began their career as a Chairman in the non-profit organization Uppsala Association for Science and Technology Students. Following this, they worked at Scania CV AB as a Management Trainee and later as a Product Planner. Erik then joined the Swedish Institute of Space Physics as a Researcher before transitioning to Scania Group as a Product Manager. In this role, Erik was responsible for product range, pricing, and sales budgets for various markets. Currently, they are the Head of Physics at RaySearch Laboratories, where they manage a team of over 20 software developing physicists and leads the development of the treatment planning system RayStation. Throughout their career, Erik has demonstrated expertise in software development, algorithm development, data analysis, and physical modeling.

Erik Engwall's education history begins with their time at Bromma gymnasium, where they studied science from 1993 to 1997. Erik then went on to attend Uppsala University from 1998 to 2004, earning a degree in Engineering Physics. In 2002, Erik briefly studied physics at the National University of Singapore. Erik continued their education at Uppsala University, obtaining a PhD in Space and Plasma Physics from 2004 to 2009. Finally, in 2013 to 2014, Erik attended Heidelberg University and pursued advanced physical methods in radiotherapy with a focus on Ion physics.
