Product Designer

Our cloud-based commercial property management software is designed to specifically meet the needs of commercial property owners and property managers and make Commercial Real Estate simple and seamless for all parties. 

Your Role 

As an Intermediate or Senior Product Designer, you will be at the intersection of design, product, engineering, and the broader organization to optimize our user experience within the Re-Leased product portfolio. You could also step into product management responsibilities to drive rapid iterations to our overall user experience - there is no hand-off culture here, we all ship together. Consistent pro-active communication and pragmatism will be key in succeeding.  

This role could be based remotely in New Zealand or in our Auckland or Napier offices.  

Your Responsibilities  

• Working closely with our customers is part of what we do – their feedback helps us shape our next iteration through to our overall experience
• Closely collaborate with engineers to meet our customer needs in a rapid, iterative manner, and an appreciation for technical nuances would be helpful
• Work with data and qualitative insight together with designers, product managers, engineers and other relevant stakeholders
• Map the experiences of users and define how we need to change what and how we deliver
• Identify how we can improve outcomes through re-design of user experience, business processes, and better collaboration across systems
• Take research into actionable insights and communicate this in a succinct and human-centered way to stakeholders
• Support Re-Leased to develop the cultural conditions, practices, and rituals to design user-centered services
• Drive new approaches when needed based on evidence through customer insights or stakeholder input
• Be the voice of UX throughout the organisation - regularly presenting design progress and learnings where appropriate. You will keep us focused not only on the “what”, but more importantly the “why”. 

Your Experience  

• Proven experience in product design with a methodological approach
• Demonstrated ability to understand different states of a scaling business: always having a pragmatic, yet customer-centric approach at heart
• Demonstrated passion for all things user experience showing your research and knowledge of the industry’s latest trends
• Experience in engaging in constructive debate and dialogue with your internal partners across technology teams
• Master of design and rapid, interactive prototyping tools/software
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineers within an agile environment, to iterate and give considered feedback
• Experience in translating data and customer insights into designed experiences
