Xander Bastin

Xander Bastin is a Materials Engineer at Reaction Engines since June 2022, previously serving as an Associate Research Engineer at the National Composites Centre, where project communication and research on ceramic matrix composites were key responsibilities. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Engineer and Summer Intern at Reaction Engines, focusing on the high-temperature properties of nickel-based superalloys. Early career experience encompasses instructing skiing at Skischule Ischgl and supervising visitors at Mega Adventure Singapore. Xander holds a Master of Engineering in Aerospace Materials from Imperial College London and an International Baccalaureate from Sevenoaks School, supplemented by a brief academic experience at Stanford University.
