Ben Gibbs

Ben Gibbs is the CEO and founder of READY Robotics. Ben has over fifteen years of experience in technology commercialization, licensing, and startup management.

Ben started their career as a technology licensing associate at Johns Hopkins University, where they negotiated license agreements for Homewood intellectual property portfolios. Ben then went on to establish and manage the Commercialization Strategy Group for Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures. In this role, they administered two translational funding programs: the $5.4M Louis B. Thalheimer Fund for Translational Research and the $400K Cohen Translational Engineering Fund.

After leaving Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures, Ben founded Baltimore Shipping Technologies, a startup that developed software to streamline maritime shipping logistics. The company was acquired by READY Robotics in 2019.

Ben Gibbs has a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and attended North Attleboro High School.
