Char Brown, Ph.D., CDP has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Char is currently working as a People Scientist and Senior DEI Consultant at ReadySet since 2022. Prior to that, they founded their own consulting company called Char Brown Solutions, LLC in 2016, where they worked as a Career Coach and Resume Writer, helping clients in their career and academic goals while emphasizing diversity and inclusion.

In 2018, Char joined Eagle Hill Consulting as a Senior Associate and later served as the Diversity and Inclusion Team Lead. In these roles, they focused on people and culture consulting, collaborating with talent management teams to develop strategic plans and define competencies for core functions of positions. Char also led initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the company.

Before that, Char had experience as an Associate Consultant at Eagle Hill Consulting, where they worked on business process improvement and workforce planning. Char also gained experience as a Professional Resume Writer at Talent Inc. and a Career Coach at the Career Transitions Center of Chicago.

Char's work experience also includes roles as a Test Administrator/Proctor at CPS HR Consulting, a Research Project Manager/Human Resources Assistant at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, a Career Consultant and English Language Teacher at Web International English Training School, a Project Manager Consultant at Versa (a division of Slalom, LLC), and a Research Analyst/Human Resources Intern at Yello.co.

Char Brown, Ph.D., CDP has a strong educational background in psychology and business. They earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Business Psychology - Consulting from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where they studied from 2015 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Roosevelt University, completing their studies from 2011 to 2012. Their undergraduate education was completed at Kennesaw State University, where they received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a focus on Applied Statistics and Data Analysis from 2007 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Char Brown has also pursued several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. They obtained a certification as a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP) from the Institute for Diversity Certification in November 2020. They also completed a certificate program in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021. They have further developed their technical skills through certifications in Creating Interactive Dashboards in Tableau 10 and Tableau 10: Mastering Calculations from Lynda.com, both obtained in September 2018. Additionally, they completed a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from the Information Research Center of International Talent, State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) in June 2013.
