Matt Coady

VP, Engineering at Realtime Robotics

Matt Coady has over 20 years of experience in the engineering field. Matt started their career as a staff electrical engineer at Molecular Imprints, where they were responsible for electrical definition, design, and testing of precision multiaxis gimbals and alignment camera stages. Matt then moved to Asyst Technologies, where they served as a senior electrical engineer for four years. In this role, they worked on the design of the Vision loadport, particularly proud of an ultra-low cost single axis CAN motion controller. Matt also worked on the Razor Robot and S9 control system, using FireWire as a motion control network.

In May 2003, Coady joined Brooks Automation as Senior Director of Electrical Engineering. During their thirteen years with the company, they continued to work on the design of the Vision loadport and the Razor Robot, as well as developing other products such as the S9 control system. In August 2016, Coady left Brooks Automation to join ALERT INNOVATION as VP of Engineering, where they oversaw the development of a new product line. Matt left ALERT INNOVATION in May 2021 to join Realtime Robotics as VP, Engineering.

Their manager is Peter Howard, President & CEO. Some individuals on their team include Marcos Rodriguez - Validation Engineer, Kevin Ghozati - Director, Software Engineering, and Steve Dias - Senior Director, Software Engineering.
