Blake Puryear has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries and roles. Starting in 2010, they worked as an IT Intern at ConocoPhillips, where they assisted with SQL Server upgrades and overhauled the mail system for the company's refineries. In 2012, they became an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Arkansas, where they contributed to a Home Healthcare Monitoring research project.
In 2012, Blake transitioned to a role as a CTRM Software Consultant at capSpire, where they consulted on energy and commodity trading platforms and developed software packages for Fortune 10 energy companies. Blake then joined Country Outfitter in 2013 as a Project Manager and Business Analyst, supporting the development and marketing teams and managing internal projects.
From 2014 to 2020, Blake worked at Hayseed Ventures as a Product & Project Management Lead, serving as the CTO for portfolio companies and helping to grow startups into successful businesses. Blake then became the Head of Product at Engine eCommerce, an eCommerce platform focused on content and commerce integration. In this role, they led the product development direction, collaborated with various teams, and worked on strategy planning.
In 2020, Blake joined Drip as the Director of Product Strategy. Blake led the product team, shaped the product vision and strategy, and ensured alignment with marketing and sales positioning. Currently, Blake is the Director of Product for Merchant, Shopper & Memberships Experience at Recharge. Blake leads the product teams, collaborates with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers, and shapes the future offerings of Recharge.
Blake Puryear attended Springdale Har-Ber High School from 2005 to 2008. After completing high school, they went on to study at the University of Arkansas from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a B.S. in Computer Science.
